The Sweetness of Faith

The Sweetness of Faith
The Prophet (sAws) said, "Whoever possess 3 qualities will have tasted the sweetness of faith:
  1. Whoever loves Allah and His Messenger more than anything else.
  2. Whoever loves a person and they love them for the sake of Allah.
  3. A person who hates to return to disbelief just as they would hate to be thrown into the fire."

"Self Destruction"

"Self Destruction"
"Do not destroy yourselves!  Many times our opinions of others are actually self destructive to our own state of being.  These opinions ruin us in the eyes of the people and more importantly in the eyes of Allah.  You think you are ruining and exposing some else for their evils according to you, but the reality is that you are exposing yourself and your shortcomings to Allah.  If you catch yourself speaking ill of others, immediately check yourself, know shaytaan (the devil) is playing a trick on you, thereby seeking to have you destroy yourself with your own actions."

"Tell me who you walk with and I'll tell you who you are."

"Tell me who you walk with and I'll tell you who you are."
"If you are walking around with bad or good company more than likely you will end up behaving and interacting just like those individuals with who you spend time with.  Brother Abu Sumayyah discusses his experience regarding this subject and how his friends negatively affected him during his times of ignorance, and the beautiful change he found when entering Islam and dedicating himself to the Mosque."
