"The Result of Loving Allah & His Messenger"

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

My beloved brothers and sisters in faith, the Messenger of Allah (sAws) was asked, "When is the hour (meaning the day of judgment)?"  The Prophet replied saying, "What have you done to prepare for it?"  The person said, "I have not done anything (in preparation for it) except that I love Allah and His Messenger."  The Prophet replied, "You shall be with the ones whom you love."

Anis, the servant of the Messenger of Allah, and the son of Malik Al-Ansari, said upon hearing this, "We had never been so happy as we were when we heard the Prophet saying," 'You will be with those whom you.'  Anis then said, "I love the Prophet, Abu Bakr, and Umar, and I desire to be with them through my love for them, though my deeds are not similar to theirs." (Related by Bukhari)

My beloved brothers and sisters, this hadith should drive us to check the status of our love for Allah and His Messenger.  Do we truly love Allah and His Messenger, and are we proving that love to Allah and His Messenger, through our obedience, submission, and implementation of this faith?

We should measure our love for Allah and His Messenger and compare that to our love for everything else, in order to see which is stronger and more dominating, because we will be with those whom we love.  Will our love drive us to be with the believers, the righteous, the Prophets and Messengers, and most importantly with Allah, or will our love drive us to be with those who not from this blessed category?

Love is a deep intense feeling for something or someone.  Allow your love for Allah and His Messenger to penetrate, affect, and overtake your heart and soul, so that you can be in the companionship of Allah and His Messenger.

Remember that there is no better company, than the company of Allah and His Messenger.  Strive to love them more each day until you find yourself completely in their company (meaning in paradise, residing and spending time with them).

May Allah bless you all,
