What happens when students experience Islam firsthand?

Just before Ramadan, we welcomed 30+ high school students to our Islamic Center — a diverse group of Muslims and non-Muslims seeking to understand Islam beyond stereotypes.

We shared what Islam is, how it has impacted our lives, and what our Center represents as a place of welcome, learning, and community.

But the most powerful part wasn’t just what they heard —

it’s what they’ll carry with them.

These students are now returning to their schools and families with a real experience that can:

• Break stereotypes

• Correct misinformation

• Open the door to meaningful conversations

Moments like this don’t just impact today — they shape how the next generation understands Islam.

¿Qué sucede cuando los estudiantes experimentan el Islam de primera mano?

Justo antes de Ramadán, recibimos a más de 30 estudiantes de secundaria en nuestro Centro Islámico — un grupo diverso de musulmanes y no musulmanes que buscaban conocer el Islam más allá de los estereotipos.

Compartimos qué es el Islam, cómo ha impactado nuestras vidas y qué representa nuestro Centro como un espacio de bienvenida, aprendizaje y comunidad.
