From Vision to Community | What We Built in One Year at IslamInSpanish

In just one year…

a space became a home,

a vision became a living community,

and a dream turned into real impact.

On November 16, 2024, IslamInSpanish opened the doors of its Islamic Center. But this wasn’t the beginning — it was the continuation of nearly 25 years of work.

🌎 Impact beyond walls

Even before opening the Center, we were already building bridges:

• Cultural events connecting communities

• National collaborations confirming our impact

• Real data showing that relationships and education change perceptions

This year, that impact expanded even further:

• Features in major outlets like KHOU, The Guardian, and TRT

• Da’wah efforts across cities like Houston, Pennsylvania, and San Francisco

• Engagement with Latino communities across the country and beyond

🤝 A center that serves

Faith is lived through action. This year we:

• Delivered toys to refugee children and pediatric cancer patients

• Distributed food to families in need

• Supported local schools and communities

📚 A community that grows

Inside the Center, transformation happens every week:

• Students learning Arabic

• New Muslims finding guidance and belonging

• Families building real relationships

Programs like:

• Squad Up (youth)

• OurSpace & Radiant Hearts (young women)

• Crowns of Modesty

• Happy Seniors

• GenerAction Jam

These aren’t just programs — they’ve created family.

🌱 Planting the future

We welcomed students, institutions, and visitors from across cities — people who came with questions and left with understanding.

Because every conversation plants a seed.

💡 This is just the beginning

This year was about more than activity — it was about purpose:

A space where:

• Faith is accessible

• Culture is honored

• Questions are welcomed

• Community is real

And none of this happens alone.

It happens because of people like you.
