15 and 10 year old Latina sisters accept Islam at the Dallas Outreach Center
When asked about How they found out about the Dallas Outreach Center it’s a blessing that this resource exists in Dallas based on what they said:
Yulisa (age 15) while surfing online stumbled upon the Vice Documentary featuring IslamInSpanish on Why Latinos are Converting to Islam. She never thought about the fact that Latinos could even embrace Islam. She saw a part of the interview within the documentary when Jaime “Mujahid” Fletcher explained some reasons as to why many Latinos are embracing Islam and she immediately searched online for “IslamInSpanish.”
Initially the first link that came up was for the IslamInSpanish Centro Islamico located in Houston, TX. She asked herself, why would it only be in Houston? She then searched for a IslamInSpanish in Dallas and the IslamInSpanish Dallas Outreach Center came up and to her surprise found that she lived very close by. She thought to herself that she may just walk in some day.
Some time passed and she kept watching the IslamInSpanish content on YouTube and told us that she had never seen a Latino Muslim before and it inspired her to know more about Islam. When Yulisa decided to come over to the IslamInSpanish Outreach Center she found that there was a Monthly “Convivencia” Potluck happening that very day.
When she arrived she experienced a warm and welcoming environment open to ask whatever questions she had left of doubt and that very day she and her 10 year old sister embraced Islam.
