Ayer durante nuestra cena comunitaria en el IslamInSpanish Centro Islámico, Sasha aceptó el Islam.

Sasha, estadounidense de trasfondo cristiano, había estado aprendiendo sobre el Islam por un tiempo después de que su prometido la introdujera a esta hermosa fe.

Al descubrir que IslamInSpanish estaba aquí en Houston, sintió en su corazón que este era el lugar donde quería tomar su shahada. La conexión que sintió con la comunidad, con las personas, con el ambiente de bienvenida… fue algo que no había experimentado en ningún otro lugar.

Allah guía a quien Él quiere, y muchas veces la guía llega a través de las personas y los espacios donde uno se siente en casa. 🤍

Yesterday at our community dinner at IslamInSpanish Centro Islámico, Sasha embraced Islam.

Sasha, an American from a Christian background, had been learning about Islam online for some time after being introduced to it by her fiancé.

When she found out that IslamInSpanish was here in Houston, she knew this was where she wanted to take her shahada. The connection she felt with the people and the welcoming community made her feel at home in a way she hadn’t experienced elsewhere.

Allah guides whom He wills, and sometimes that guidance comes through the warmth of community. 🤍

May Allah keep her steadfast and fill her journey with light. Ameen.
