New shahadahs may seem like a common occurrence at IslamInSpanish but we see it as a major blessing each time. It doesn't get old! Witness the tears of joy for a mom whose son invited her to a Spanish-speaking masjid.
Sister Maria has a son who converted to Islam in prison and had been discussing the faith with her, which sparked the sister to visit and learn more for herself. The problem was that there was no one she could comfortably talk to about Islam in the Spanish language.
For 3 or 4 years she was in this predicament until one night she work up restless at 3:00am and Google searched for a nearby Spanish-speaking mosque and found the IslamInSpanish Dallas Outreach Center. After making a phone call to the Outreach Center, she visited and shortly thereafter took her Shahada which we captured on video! Please make dua for Maria and her son as it is a beautiful blessing that through tough circumstances they found the light of Islam.
